It's been sung about, written about, and shown on the big screen thousands of times. But when it's in your backyard...the alarm goes off and it's hard to stay afloat!
And as someone intimately familiar with
the man's perspective, I have learned through making one mistake after
another some painful lessons that could be eye openers for you.
It is time of unknowns, pleas for help and understanding. So much is
happening, all at once, our first choice may simply be to run for
cover. But learning from others' divorce mistakes can be a life saver.
One of the most common mistakes is to think we can pull out of it all by ourselves—Lone Ranger Style...This is a time to recognize that it's OK to ask for help—as we would in the midst of a battle. Because it is a battle—and to keep our wits and sanity about us, we need to rely on the insights and support of others.
